The International Journal of Aging seeks to attract high quality studies on topics related to geriatric medicine and aging. The IJA will provide a high-quality and rapid peer-review process, and will ensure a broad coverage of article types and geographical contributions.
Areas of interest for this journal include:
- High quality original research from all areas of geriatrics medicine and gerontology. This will include the following methodology types: clinical trials, systematic reviews/meta-analyses, epidemiology of age-related diseases including cardiovascular diseases, malignant neoplasms, chronic respiratory diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and neurological and mental disorders, diagnostic testing, predictive and explanatory modelling, cost-effectiveness, qualitative studies, and clinically-focused translational research.
- Editorials focused on geriatrics medicine and gerontology.
- Perspectives which debate clinical practice or the public health implications of recently published research, or other clinical and health topics.
- Case reports and case series.
